Jim Furyk (33/1 with Betfred to win the US Open) says he is excited about the coming months as he goes in search of a second major championship.
The world number six claimed his second US Tour victory of 2010 when winning the Verizon Heritage, following a play-off with Englands Brian Davis.
Furyk, who will sit out this weeks Zurich Classic of New Orleans, has his sights set on another major success following his US Open victory of 2003.
The 39-year-old admitted: I’m right in the start of my favorite part of the schedule. I’m playing as well as I have for years. We’re starting to get to the part of the season where I start smiling ear to ear, because I like all the tournaments coming up.
Ryder Cup (US team 11/8 to win back the trophy) star Furyk has finished in the US Open top five on five occasions although he could only manage 60th when the tournament was held at this years venue, Pebble Beach, in 2000.
